We opened our doors in September, 1992, a classic mom and pop operation: “mom” (Babette) tended the store and “pop” (Christian) prepared and baked all the breads, croissants, and pastries. Over the years, our business grew the old-fashioned way: by word-of-mouth. We started selling our products to local restaurants, hotels, and coffeehouses, which also increased awareness of our products. To a bystander, it must have been comical watching us try to fit our deliveries into a Camaro! We soon became known as the place to go for freshly-baked bread & gourmet pastries. We’ve always done our best to bake throughout the day. Who can resist bread fresh from the oven on a chilly winter evening or an afternoon treat that’s fresh and not overly sweet?!?!
With our expanded seating area, we've got plenty of room for you to gather with friends or family to enjoy a light breakfast, our extraordinary sandwiches, our homemade soups, one of our many pastries or cookies, and so much more!!!
Today we have a staff of nearly 25 including our bakers, pastry chefs, salespeople, and support staff. We are all still devoted to providing our customers with high-quality, fresh products at reasonable prices.
We have an extensive line of breads, breakfast pastries, desserts, cakes, tarts, and made-to-order sandwiches. We pride ourselves on the quality of our products and invite you to visit us. We’re pretty sure you won’t leave empty-handed!
